A free gift is one of the rewards on the ShopCart progress bar. When the cart reaches the amount you set, customers can add a product to the cart for free.

# ${color}[#204a87](How the free gift works)

The free gift is a tier of the rewards bar, like free shipping or a discount. You choose one or more gift products and the minimum order value. When the cart reaches it, the gift appears in the cart with an **Add** button, and the customer adds it at no cost.

# ${color}[#204a87](Set up a free gift tier)

1. Open **ShopCart** and click **Edit** in the **Cart Drawer** card.
2. Under **Rewards**, click a tier or click **Add tier**.
3. In **Reward type**, choose **Free gift**.
4. Enter the **Free gift section title**, for example "Choose your free gift", the **Reward tooltip** and the **Minimum order value for reward**.
5. In **Select products**, choose how many gifts the customer gets:
   * **All from list**: "You can give one or more free gifts". The customer gets every product in the list.
   * **One from list**: "You offer several products to choose from, and the user can select only one".
6. Click **Add** under the list.

7. In the **Add products** window, select the gift products and click **Add**.

8. Set the quantity of each gift in the field next to it. To remove a product from the list, click the trash icon.
9. Click **Save** at the top of the editor.

# ${color}[#204a87](What customers see)

When the cart reaches the minimum order value, the gift section appears in the cart with the title you entered. The gift is marked **FREE**.

When the customer clicks **Add**, the gift goes into the cart for free. Its quantity can't be changed.

If the customer removes products and the cart drops below the minimum, the gift is removed from the cart automatically.

The **Add** button text is the same as on upsell cards. To change it, open **Upsells** > **Content**.

# ${color}[#204a87](Why the gift isn't shown)

* The cart hasn't reached the **Minimum order value for reward** yet.
* The gift product isn't available on your online store, for example its status is **Draft**. Open the product in **Products** and set its status to **Active**.
