# Schedule labels and badges by day, date and time zone

# ${color}[#204a87](Schedule labels and badges by day, date and time zone)

${color}[#3465a4](**In this article:**)
* [Week schedule or Display period](#1-week-schedule-or-display-period)
* [Store time zone or Visitor time zone](#1-store-time-zone-or-visitor-time-zone)
* [Show a label on certain days and hours](#1-show-a-label-on-certain-days-and-hours)
* [Show a label for a set period](#1-show-a-label-for-a-set-period)
* [Check the schedule](#1-check-the-schedule)

Turn labels on and off automatically: show "Happy hour" only on Friday evenings, or run a "Black Friday" label from Friday morning to Monday night without logging in to switch it off.

|| Week schedule and Display period are available on all paid plans.

# ${color}[#204a87](Week schedule or Display period)

* **Week schedule**: repeats every week. Choose the days and hours when the label is shown, for example weekdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
* **Display period**: runs once. Choose a start date and time and an end date and time, for example a weekend sale.

You can use both together. The label is shown only when both allow it: inside the period **and** on a scheduled day and hour.

Both sections have a **Time zone** setting with two options:

* **Store time zone**: the label switches on and off at the same moment for everyone, by your store's clock (set in Shopify **Settings > General**). Use it for sales that start and end at a fixed time, such as a launch or a flash sale. This is the default.
* **Visitor time zone**: each customer sees the schedule on their own clock. A label set for 9:00 AM–12:00 PM appears at 9:00 AM in New York and at 9:00 AM in London, a few hours apart. Use it for "morning deal" or "happy hour" labels that should follow the customer's local time.

# ${color}[#204a87](Show a label on certain days and hours)

1. Open the label and go to **Week schedule**.
2. Under **Time zone**, select **Store time zone** or **Visitor time zone**.
3. Clear the checkbox next to each day when the label shouldn't appear.
4. To show the label only part of a day, clear **All day** for that day and set the start and end time.
5. Click **Save**.

By default, every day is selected with **All day** on, so the label is always shown.

# ${color}[#204a87](Show a label for a set period)

1. Open the label and go to **Display period**.
2. Select **Range**. (**All time**, the default, shows the label with no end date.)
3. Under **Time zone**, select **Store time zone** or **Visitor time zone**.
4. Set the **Start** date and time and the **End** date and time.
5. Click **Save**.

With **Store time zone**, the time fields show your store's offset, for example **Time (GMT-4)**. With **Visitor time zone**, they show only **Time**, because each customer has their own.

When the period ends, the label disappears from the store. To use it again, set new dates.

# ${color}[#204a87](Check the schedule)

* In the labels list, hover over the calendar icon in the **Schedule** column. It shows the display period (if set) and the hours for each day.
* The editor preview doesn't follow the schedule. To see the real result, open your store.
* If a label is missing on the store at a time when it should show, check the **Time zone** first. With **Store time zone**, compare the time with your store's clock, not your computer's.
