How much does ShopCart cost?
ShopCart is free on the Shopify App Store.
Does ShopCart change my theme code?
No. ShopCart works through a theme app embed called Activate ShopCart, which you turn on in the theme editor. If you turn the embed off, ShopCart disappears from your store and your theme's own cart is used again.
Why do I still see my theme's cart?
The app embed is off or the cart isn't published. See Why isn't the cart drawer showing on my store?
How do I turn the cart off for a while?
Open the cart drawer editor and click Unpublish. Your theme's own cart comes back and the sticky cart button is hidden. Your settings are kept, so you can click Publish again later.
How are rewards applied at checkout?
When you publish the cart, ShopCart adds an automatic discount called ShopCart Automatic Discount to Discounts in your Shopify admin. It applies the rewards customers unlock in the cart, so they don't need a code. Don't delete or turn off this discount. See How to set up tiered rewards in the cart.
Do discount codes work in the cart?
Yes. Turn on the Discount code widget, and customers can apply any code you created in Discounts. The code is carried over to checkout. See How to add a discount code field to the cart.
Why is there a new product in my store?
When you set up Shipping protection or Gift wrapping in Add-ons, ShopCart creates that product in Products, so it can be added to the order. To hide it from your collections and search, set its status to Unlisted. Don't set it to Draft, or the add-on disappears from the cart. See How to add shipping protection or another add-on.
Can I translate the cart?
Yes. Open Translations in the ShopCart menu and translate the texts for each language published in your store. See How to translate the cart.
Can I show upsells after the purchase?
ShopCart shows upsells in the cart. For upsells on the checkout, thank you and order status pages, use our ReSell app. You'll find it in ShopCart under Checkout upsell.
